Art Discovery Camp with Justine Pechuzal (Copy)

Art Discovery Camp with Justine Pechuzal 🦀

Art Discovery Camp with Justin Pechuzal invites young artists to dive into a week of creativity inspired by the wonders of the ocean! Campers will explore marine themes through a thoughtful blend of structured lessons and open-ended artmaking, building new skills while expressing their own unique ideas.

Throughout the week, students will experiment with a variety of mediums—including paint, pastel, watercolor, and colored pencil—while participating in daily drawing exercises focused on sea mammals, tide pool creatures, and the rich beauty of our coastal environment.

As a special extension of the camp experience, students will have the opportunity to have their artwork featured in a community exhibit at the Seward Children’s Museum as part of July’s First Friday Art Walk. This student-led showcase will celebrate the creativity and hard work of our young artists, with artwork remaining on display throughout the month.

Designed for ages 7–10 (or students entering 2nd through 5th grade), this camp offers a fun, supportive space to celebrate both art and our incredible marine habitat—while also giving students the chance to share their work with the broader community.

Dates: June 22–26

Time: 9:00–11:30 AM.

Come create, explore, and be inspired!
